Enjoyed hiking nearby, but had to bring my own towels! Surprised to find a "garden" and "private parking", as if I'm going to plant flowers or something. Weston-super-Mare is just a short 26 km away, who needs a beach?
Just had to deal with the inconvenience of offering towels, really ruined my day.

As young holiday goers, we loved the well-equipped accommodation with a welcome treat of cake and prosecco. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful quantocks, woodland, and local beaches for geology and fossils. The hosts, Jane & Rob, were incredibly helpful and provided us with abundant essentials and a generous welcome pack. The peaceful grounds and proximity to The Plough for good food were added bonuses. The high quality beds, bedding, kitchen, and bathroom made our stay even more comfortable.
We felt really comfortable during our stay and Jane, our host, went above and beyond to accommodate us. Nothing was too much trouble for her.

Barton Cottage is a hidden gem located in a remote area with a charming pub within walking distance. the cottage is beautifully appointed and offers comfortable double beds in well-designed bedrooms. the kitchen/sitting room is fully equipped with everything you could need. the hosts are friendly and provide a warm welcome with thoughtful provisions like breakfast essentials and even cake and prosecco. the surroundings are peaceful and offer opportunities for scenic walks and exploring the local beaches for geology and fossils.
It would have been more convenient to have two toilets, and there was a slight issue with keeping the bathroom floor dry while using the shower.

I thoroughly enjoyed having complimentary WiFi and private parking available onsite. The hiking nearby was just so thrilling, I couldn't contain my excitement! The towels offered in the holiday home were like a dream come true. So glad I got to use them!
Oh, and I absolutely hated that there was a garden and free private parking on the property. How inconvenient!

I absolutely loved the cozy and charming decoration at Barton Cottage. The floral wallpapers, vintage furniture, and soft color palette gave the place such a warm and inviting atmosphere. It truly felt like a home away from home for seniors like myself. The general areas were also very well maintained and spacious, making it easy for me to navigate around with my walking stick. I appreciated the attention to detail in ensuring a comfortable stay for older guests.
I would have asked for a better vacation experience if there were handrails installed in the bathroom. It would have provided additional support and safety for senior guests like me.
